The Dallas / Fort Worth Sun Users Group is a non-profit independent
group which meets the second Tuesday every other Month for the open
exchange of technical information regarding the networking industry and
Sun products for the benefit of Sun users. We founded the first
Sun Users Group in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in March 2001. We have over 200 registered members.

Notes for Solaris 10 Installfest |
- Try to arrive early. We will be set up by 4:30 pm.
- Bring a laptop with at least 5 GB of space available.
- The laptop should have a network interface.
- Ideally, create a primary partition labeled as "linux swap."
- If you have an existing windows partition, and want to dual-boot, please defragment your windows partition before the installfest
- If you have a laptop that has an existing OS that you want to keep, we will have a recovery/partitioning CD available that will allow you to shrink the existing environment. That being said - be aware that there is a slight chance that unrecoverable events do occur making the existing OS non-bootable... Basically if it is mission critical to you, make sure you have a back up.
- We will be using a jumpstart server with the latest Solaris 10- X86 "Solaris Express" build available. We will have a network setup ready to plug-in (no cables needed).

Directions to SUN- 16000 N. Dallas Tollway
- Take Dallas Tollway North and exit on Keller Springs (immediately after Keller Springs toll)
- You will see the SUN Building on your right, however you will have to enter the parking garage from behind the building.
- Turn right at Keller Springs, then right again on Knoll Trail
- Go just past the rear of the Bradford Suites into the parking garage entrances.
- NOTE: for the garage code, please send an email to us
- --park in any unreserved space.
The SUN building is the North building (to your right).
Go to the 7th floor reception area. The Mansion conference room is to your left.
